Pay on Pickup with Stripe Issuing
Overview: DeliverLogic's "Pay on Pickup" feature leverages Stripe's Issuing product, allowing drivers to use cards linked to the company's Stripe account. This system ensures seamless payment processing for orders.
How It Works:
Funds Management: (https://deliverlogic.atlassian.net/wiki/x/CQDoq )
Pending Funds: Funds are pending on the day of the order.
Available Funds: These funds become available the next banking day.
Deposits: Funds can be deposited the day following their availability.
Issuing Cards:
Funds used by issuing cards are deducted from the available balance.
The combined total of available and pending balances must be greater than the next attempted charge to ensure successful transactions.
Troubleshooting: If you encounter issues with card transactions, follow these steps:
Navigate to Financial > CC Batch Report.
Batch any unbatched orders to move funds to your pending balance.
Increase Pending Balance:
Purchase a gift card via your backend management system.
Manual Payouts: (How to set up your desired Stripe Deposit Schedule )
Consider switching to manual payouts on Stripe using the PAYOUTS SETUP section under Manage Payments.
Manual control allows you to determine how much is deposited and when.
Future Enhancements: To improve the "Pay on Pickup" experience, we are implementing a system for automatic fund holds in your Stripe account:
Auto-Hold Funds:
Set up in the PAYOUTS SETUP section, you can choose to deposit all but a specified amount (e.g., $XXXX.XX).
This ensures daily deposits while maintaining sufficient funds for card transactions.
Flexibility:
If the preset amount is insufficient, you can update it anytime.
You can still batch orders or purchase gift cards as a backup.
Benefits:
Ensures consistent cash flow.
Guarantees the necessary funds for "Pay on Pickup" without manual intervention.
Provides flexibility and control over your financial operations.
This comprehensive approach helps maintain smooth operations and addresses any potential issues proactively. If you have further questions or need assistance, please refer to our Confluence article or contact our support team.
