please do so because that is our recommended setup for Delivery fees.

We will first need to change our Delivery Fee Structure from the Suggested “TIERED” to “TIERED ZONES” as seen in the picture below.

IMPORTANT: You will only find this option UNDER RESTAURANT PROFILES. By default system will load you into a Tiered bracket and load up a DEFAULT TEMPLATE if you set one up as seen in the article here:

Once you have switched to the TIERED ZONES structure you will see the window below

The TIERS that you see in the picture above will ONLY SHOW UP AFTER YOU SELECT THE TIERED ZONES STRUCTURE.

From here you will essentially set up 3 tiers INSIDE a zone based delivery fee setup.

Delivery Time will determine an APPROXIMATE time for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner shifts that are initially quoted to the customers on your website.

Base Delivery Fee this value is going to be charged to the customer first and then the TIER FEE will be added depending on the values you input in those fields (an example and detailed explanation will be below as well as an example you can see in the Green Window displayed in the picture above.

Minimum is going to talk about the MINIMUM FOOD SUB-TOTAL in order for an order to be “eligible” for delivery. Meaning if you set the Breakfast column Minimum to be $15 a customer has to order AT LEAST $15 worth of food before Delivery Fees and Additional Charges.

Tiers Tier 1/2/3 are going to determine what mileage and fees are associated to delivery fees

Tier Distance the same way as TIERED structure this will determine after how many miles does a certain tier activate. Tier 1 is usually set to 0 miles so anything between 0 miles and for example Tier 2 being 5 miles will mean that the Tier Fee for Tier 1 is going to be calculated for deliveries BETWEEN 0 and 5 miles.

Tier Fee as explained in the Green Window in the picture the Tier Fees are added on TOP of the BASE DELIVERY FEE once a certain Tier is triggered. So a Base Delivery Fee of $2.99 + a Tier Fee of $0.50 would mean a delivery example from the section above would result in a $2.99 + $2.50 (if our delivery is 5 miles away because Tier Fee is calculated per mile) would bring us to a $5.49 Delivery Fee in the end.
