Itsacheckmate Revel POS Integration Overview

Providing Revel Access to ItsaCheckmate

In order to provide ItsaCheckmate access to your Revel POS, please follow these instructions:

1. Log in to Revel dashboard

2. Click on Employees

3. Click on +Add and then Add Employee

4. Complete user details with the following information:

First Name: ItsaCheckmate

Last Name: Integration

Email:  poslogin+yourbrandname@itsacheckmate.com

  Example - poslogin+kylestacos@itsacheckmate.com

Role: Administrator / Owner

5. Hit Generate next to POS Access PIN. Note: We do not need this information.

6. Click on

Management Console Permissions:

 


Enter the following information:

Username: ItsaCheckmate_Integration

Email: poslogin+yourbrandname@itsacheckmate.com

Password: select any password

Administrative Permissions: All Permissions (including Admin Permissions)

 

7. Once this is done, hit Save and Close

 


Adding Establishment Access to Existing Revel User

Employee profiles can be linked to multiple establishments. The benefits of linking an employee:

  • Employees keep the same Point of Sale PIN across all establishments

  • You don't have to create a new employee entry per each establishment

  • Employees can have different roles and wages set per establishment

To link an employee to an additional establishment:

  1. Go to the establishment you have already linked the employee (existing).

  2. Go to the Employees tab.

  3. Click the icon next to the employee you wish to link:

 

4. Once you're in the Employee Details page, click the Establishment tab at the very top of the Management Console so the hierarchy tree open. Then, click the establishment you want to link the employee to:

5. After you've clicked on the desired establishment, you'll still be on the Employee Details page. Scroll down to the Initial Role field and select the employee's role from the drop-down menu:

6. Click Save.

 

How to Update Menu Item Name

Go to Products → Select the menu item to update and update the name as needed → Click Save



How to Update Menu Item Price and Availability

Price updates are made within your POS — they are NOT made within our ItsaCheckmate Portal.

To update prices:

Step 1: Go to Products → Select the menu item to update and update price as needed

Step 2: To set mark item as PERMANENTLY unavailable, uncheck the Active Box.

For quick edits to menu item price/availability, you can Bulk Edit items directly from the Products screen.

NOTE: This will update the base price in your POS. If you have Price Elevation set in the Menu Manager, the elevation percentage will apply to this new base price.

How to Temporarily Mark an Item as Sold Out/86’d

Marking Items/Modifiers as Sold Out/86’d should be done within the ItsaCheckmate Portal.

Step 1: Toggle the Available button and it will then mark the item as sold out (default is 1 day). Click on down arrow to display other sold-out options — up to 7 days or Indefinite



Step 2: Click on Push to Online Platform(s)

NOTE: The item will be marked as sold out for the number of days specified.

Marking Modifier(s) Out of Stock

Step 1: Follow the same steps if you want to mark a modifier as out of stock, starting with double clicking on the item photo to display the modifiers.


Step 2: The list of modifiers available within the selected item will display.

Step 3: Select the (#) Modifiers dropdown to expose the modifiers within the modifier group.



Step 4: Toggle on the modifier(s), you want to mark as out of stock.

Step 5: Make sure to click Push to Online Platforms or else the changes will not take effect.

How to Update Modifiers within Modifier Group

Step 1: Go to Modifiers → Find Modifier Group to edit 

Step 2: To Remove a Modifier, uncheck the Active Box next to the modifier you wish to remove

To Add a Modifier → Click on + Add Modifier



Step 3: Enter New Modifier Name & Price (Ensure the Active Box is checked)

Step 4: Click on Save


Updating Item Description

Step 1: Go to respective Item → Click on the Pencil icon (on the right-hand side)

Step 2: Go to “Description” field → Update description

Step 3: Click on Save

Updating Item Image

Step 1: Go to respective Item → Click on the Pencil icon (on the right-hand side)

Step 2: In the left-hand side bar, check the Image setting

Step 3: Scroll to Display/Print Options → Image



Step 4: Select Browse & Upload → Select Image from your PC → Select Save (The uploaded image will appear upon successful completion)

Step 5: Select the image of your choice, by clicking on the highlighted area or you may choose to drag and drop the desired file from your desktop in the highlighted area and select Save

Updating Special/Holiday Hours in the ItsaCheckmate Portal

Step 1: Click on HoursSpecial/Holiday HoursEdit

Step 2: Click +Add Special/Holiday Hours



Step 3: Enter NameDate → Select Close (to be closed all day) or set Special Hours in the time range fields (Open & end time)

 





To add multiple time ranges within one day, select ‘+’ to expose additional time range fields

Step 4: Click Save

Make sure to click on Push to Ordering Platforms or the updates will not take effect.

NOTE: This feature is only currently available for Uber Eats and DoorDash.


Updating Kitchen Prep Time

Go to HoursKitchen Prep TimeEdit to access and Edit the prep times.

Setting Default Prep Time

The system will automatically show the Ordering Platforms that support prep time and allows you to set a default prep time.

Set the Default Prep Time and click Save.



Setting Time Specific Prep Time

If you have integrated ordering platforms that allows for time-specific prep time, you will have the option to uncheck the “use default prep times” button which will expand the days of the week. 

Step 1: Uncheck Use Default Prep Time



Step 2: Set Day Prep Time for each day of the week as you would like

Step 3: To set Prep Time based on time of day, check By Time Period

  1. Enter start time and end time

  2. Set prep time next to that time range

  3. Select ‘+’ to add more time ranges for that day



Step 4: Repeat above steps for each day of the week

Step 5: Click Save when finished

 

For Ordering Platforms that do NOT support time-specific prep times, their logo will appear below the Default Prep Time section and will only use the default time which applies to all days of the week.

For Ordering Platforms that DO support time-specific prep times and for which time-specific prep times are set, their logo will appear below the Time Specific Prep Time section making it easier to distinguish which OP is using which type of prep time.

Marking the Location Online/Offline in ItsaCheckmate Portal

You can mark the location or respective delivery platform(s) to appear offline/ online with the click of a button.

Make sure to click Push to Online Platforms when you make any change(s), or else the changes will not take effect.

Final Step: Pushing Changes to The Ordering Platforms

Once all updates are made in your Revel back end, to update the ordering platforms:

Step 1: Click on Settings Icon on Top Right

Step 2: Click on Clear Selections



Step 3: Check the Online Ordering Settings → Click on Refresh Menu → Click OK 

NOTE: While ItsaCheckmate syncs with Revel EVERY HOUR, if you wish to have changes reflected immediately: Go to the ItsaCheckmate Portal and Select ‘Sync with POS’ – the sync normally takes between 5-10 minutes. Once completed, select ‘Push to Online Platforms’



NOTE: Our system will only sync if there is a change to the menu and will only push out to the ordering platforms once the sync occurs.
