Places, formerly known as “Hotel” is a space where you can create multiple different addresses that are connected to a select variety of establishments.

Current division of establishments is:

  1. Base

  2. Brewery

  3. Dorm

  4. Hotel

  5. Workspace

  6. School

    * Addresses can be further separated via “Subplaces” feature that we’ll mention later *

Before creating a place you will have to ensure that your customers can see these places and order from them.

You can do so by activating a few fields in the Site Settings section that can be found on the left-hand side navigation bar called SETTINGS, once you are here look for DLCore Settings and enable the PLACES checkmark as seen in the picture below.

Once you have made Places section available there are a few more settings you can adjust/activate regarding the Places feature, you can find these settings by typing “Place” in the filter search box on the top left side of the Settings tab as seen in the picture below

CREATING A PLACE

Inside of your admin backend navigate to

PLACES” tab.

Once there you will select a location in which you would like to create a “Place”.

Here you will be able to input all information that’s needed in order for a “Place” to show up on your Customer Ordering Website. Name, Type, Address/City/State/Zip and Delivery Fee are essential in this process so make sure you input and double check the information before saving a new “Place”.

Subplaces - are used to further divide a specific “Place” into small places that are their own entity which the customer will be able to select in the ordering process.
You can just name these Subplaces for example “Room 1”, “Room C”, “1st Floor”, “Dental Department”, etc…
BUT if it’s a big military base you can also manually add Longitude and Latitude in order to point your driver to the exact coordinates needed.

Availability - this is where “Places” feature shines!

As you can see we have 2 types of availabilities here: Restaurant and Time
Restaurant availability is by default set to ALL RESTAURANTS but from the drop down list on the lift you can add SPECIFIC restaurants to a day of the week for example (We can offer Chick-Fil-A and Wendy’s for a special delivery fee of $2 on Monday and do different restaurants/times and Delivery Fee other days of the week)

Once you add “Available Restaurants” you can easily remove them by clicking on the name of the restaurant if needed.

Available times will be set to All Times by default so that “Place” can order whenever they want during the day but you can restrict that with the Add Time drop down.

**Keep in mind you have to select all time that you want the customer to be able to order (Select ALL times Between 9am to 2pm for example don’t select just 9am and 2pm option)

It’s very useful to open up the times when you don’t have as many orders coming and boost your sales during “slow times” to keep your drivers happy.

You can also practice offering different daily discounts for different restaurants “Taco Tuesdays” , “Sub Sundays” and so on you get the idea, get fun with it and make something fun for your customers! :)
